Composting with Red Wigglers
Our Grade 1 and 2 classes are busy looking after a new Science project at RHMS. After the hands-on inspirational workshop on Vermicomposting, presented by Cathy's Crawly Composters, RHMS Grade 1 and 2 classes have become involved in looking after the composting at RHMS. These busy specialty worms known as Red Wigglers are in the process of producing nitrogen rich soil enhancer for our gardens. This will come in especially handy when we start planting our flowers in the Spring.
