Thursday, September 28th, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury
hosted the 10th annual South Simcoe Business Excellence Awards,
sponsored by Nottawasaga Futures.
A total of 216 nominations were submitted in 10 categories
- 25% from Bradford West Gwillimbury. A panel of judges pared
it down to 71 finalists, and at the Bradford Community Centre
on Thursday, President of Nottawasaga
Futures, Mary Munnoch announced the winners. |

Excellence for Agriculture: Cathy's Crawly Composters
Cathy's Crawly Composters of Bradford West Gwillimbury. In
business for 4 years, this environmentally sensitive vermiculture
business has been instrumental in reducing the amount of waste
reaching landfill, and building awarness of vermicomposting.
Owner Cathy Nesbitt has received the Recycling Council of
Ontario's Individual Recognition Award, and the Windfall Ecology
Centre's Environmental Learning Award. |
