Worm Harvest Party
Mimi and Cathy found some cool mushrooms in the worm bin.
The Coffee Shed at the Surrey Place Centre has two operational
worm composters and it was once again time for a Harvest Party.
Volunteers and composters came out to see what the worms have
done and how they have helped clean up our planet. Red wiggler
worms are playing an ever-increasing role in waste management
and soil production. Vermicomposting is a sustainable solution
to climate change and it is food security 101. It is ESSENTIAL
