Worm Harvest Party
The Coffee Shed at Surrey Place Centre has two operational composters
and it was once again time for a Harvest Party. Volunteers and
composters came out to see what the worms have done and how they
have helped clean up our planet. Red wiggler worms are playing
an ever-increasing role in waste management, soil production and
therefore food security. Vermicomposting is a sustainable solution
for anywhere without outdoor space for traditional composting
or access to a green bin program.
